Privacy policy
CalmFit is a food and fitness coaching app made by Pertina AI (“Pertina”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, where it is kept, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to subhransu@pertina.ai.
The short version
- You choose what to tell CalmFit. We use it only to coach you.
- Your information is encrypted and stored in India (AWS, Mumbai region). Our staff cannot read it in our database.
- We do not sell your data, show ads, or use it for advertising.
- To answer you, the app sends parts of your information to AI providers (Anthropic for text, OpenAI for voice). Details below.
- You can export or delete everything from the app, at any time.
What we collect

Health and medication information is sensitive. You decide whether to enter it, and you can delete it at any time.
How we use it
- To run CalmFit: your plan, daily log, progress charts, reminders and the coach’s answers.
- To keep the coach’s notes about you up to date, so its advice fits your life.
- To keep the service secure and working: preventing abuse, fixing errors, enforcing usage limits.
- To contact you about your account or important changes.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

These providers process the data only to provide their service to us. Under their API terms, Anthropic and OpenAI do not use it to train their models, and may keep it for a limited period (for example up to 30 days) for safety and abuse monitoring. Voice is optional; the app asks for your consent before your first voice conversation.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, CalmFit receives only your name, email address and profile picture. CalmFit’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service, never sell it, and never use it for advertising.
Where it is stored and how it is protected
- Stored in India, in Amazon Web Services’ Mumbai region.
- Encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Each record is also encrypted by our servers before it is saved, with a key that only the CalmFit service can use, so administrators browsing the database see only scrambled data.
- Access to our systems is limited and logged, and unusual access raises an alert.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account in the app (Me → Delete account and all data), we remove your information and photos from our live systems straight away and from our backups within 35 days. Records that the law requires us to keep, if any, are kept only for as long as required.
Your choices and rights
- See and download all your data: Me → Download all my data.
- Correct anything, in the app or by telling the coach.
- Delete single entries, the coach’s notes, or your whole account, in the app.
- Withdraw consent for medication tracking or voice at any time; stop learning in the knowledge base screen.
- Rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including access, correction, erasure, grievance redress and nominating someone to act for you. Write to us at the address below; we reply within 30 days.
Not medical advice
CalmFit gives general food and fitness guidance. It does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and it never recommends or changes medicine doses. Talk to your doctor about medical questions.
Children
CalmFit is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
